Ok, here is the final update before the I get working on the new site design and finish up these KungFu Legends II CDs.  Well, the movie is now OFFICIALLY ONLINE! Yea! Check it out on the menu to the left.  Hung is still working on the "Behind the Scenes" section for the Special Edition release of the movie.  And the DVD Boxes are on their way to my house.  So look forward for the release of the Special Edition movie, but for now, enjoy this crappy Web Compressed version of the movie. ~Adrian

Hey Everybody, So here is the update.  The movie is basically finished.  I made a Promo Release which was tested on several systems so I'm still working out the compatibility bugs.  The CD will most likely include 3 different files for each movie file.  1 DivX, 2 Mpeg, and 3 SVCD format.  So basically.. on the computer you have the option to view DivX or MPEG files... and you can even watch the movie on most DVD players or computer using your DVD software player.  As far as the Behind the Scenes Featurette, Hung already has a good set of edited video and plans on how to arrange it.  We already filmed Me (Adrian), Sean, and Scott for the interviews which will be compiled with clips and voice-overs in companion with the Behind the Scenes footage.  So we still need to film Darren, Nick, and Hung.  But we want to finish it by this weekend.  I haven't ordered the DVD boxes, but I'm hopeing to do that tomorow (friday).  I also still have to work on the cover.  Well, very busy here.  Look for the DVD box Special Edition next week. ~Adrian

AHH!!! It's done!! sort of.  Now making the enhanced PC-CDROM/SVCD is gonna be more work.  But I'm pretty excited!!!  Can't you tell!!!!! oh.. so anyways.  Email me if you need a copy (read the post below for more info).  ahh.. ok.. I'm tired now.  I'm gonna go to bed.

Topic: Wednesday, August 21, 2002 - Movie and Site Updates Author: Adrian - KFL Character: Mexican

So I'm officially tired of working on this now!  It's been about 4 months of hardcore nonstop sitting in front of the computer editing, making, and putting crap together.  But in the end, I hope it's worth it.  So the movie is pretty much finished (99.5%).  The ending is a big odd and the transitions towards the end don't fit very well.  But I'm gonna go through and make some changes see how the end result will flow better.  I also have to start working on the DVD Box  Art and CD Art.  AHHH!!!! So school starts Monday, but it looks like we will definetly have a working version of the movie by then.  IF YOU WANT A COPY AND ARE READING THIS AND YOU KNOW ANY OF US IN PERSON, Send an email to webmaster@kungfulegends.com with your name, who you know from the production team, and what version you want (Two Media Types: PC-CDROM/SVCD & VHS).  This is to keep track of how many copies need to be made.  Not sure if behind the scenes featurette will be on this version, it might be released at a later date.

Hey again,  Just fixed up the site a little bit to make it easier to navigate and put out movie updates on the main page (so the bios have been moved to it's own section).  Will work on actual site design later this week.  But so far, FrontPage is good enough to keep the people informed (eh?).  So yea.. the movie.  It's coming, everything is pretty much done except for the final ending sequence.  Sean came over yesterday and we 'layed down some music tracks.'  We are using Reason, FruityLoops, Yamaha DJX Keyboard, MC-307, SoundForge, his Guitar, and my Violin to create the soundtrack.  Also, you can see the first KungFu legends in it's compressed format.  Links to files are on the main page of the KungFu Legends sectoin. As for updates, Hung is all finished with adding the sound fx for the intro.  Its looking/sounding awesome.  Also, Kung Fu Legends 1 is already uploaded...so its up to adrian or nick to fix up the site and link it up or whatever.

What's up.. not sure how many people read this.. if you do check this message board, I recommend you sign up and ask us some questions or maybe start your own topics.  As far as movie updates go, I just finished rendering the intro sequence before the Game Title screen... It took about 2 hours to render 1 min and 7 sec on this P4 1.6Ghz system so you can imagine how intense that minute must be! (lots and lots and lots of layers, and effects, and filters).  So, most of the voice overs have been recorded except for a new scene towards the end.  Hung will be stopping by tomorow to pick up the intro sequence to add sound FX... GO HUNG!! hehe, well, I'm off to keep working.. it's looking good.  I also encoded the first KungFu Legends, so that will be posted really soon.

Hey, so Sean came over again today to work on some KFL2 original music... it's sounding pretty good now, but I think it's gonna be hard to make music for the big fight scenes... well see how the original music turns out.. since it's our first attempt at doing a whole score from scratch!! (lots of work).. other than that, Hung dropped off the Sound FX tracks for all parts 1-2 of the Final Stage fight scene and Scott also filmed his green screen intro and did his Voice Over session for the storymode.  As for special effects, I finished the last effect for the Final Stage fight... looks pretty good.. and will look even better with sound fx in place.

Topic: Monday, August 12, 2002 - KFL2 Project Update Author: Adrian - KFL Character: Mexican

Hey everybody, So I got the message board up (still working on the look, tried installing a skin and it messed up the whole board so I had to reinstall.. *grins*).  So the Movie is going well and will definetly be done before the UofA starts again on the 26th of this month.  Hung came over today to pick up Parts 1-3 of the last fight scene.  He is probably working on the sound fx as I write this.  I still have to go back and fix one of the ending special effects.  The storyline needs to be subtitled and voiced over still.  We still need White Master to come in and film his Green Screen intro and we are still in the process of editing the ideas for the game ending.  Later. ~Adrian
